Once WhatsApp is installed on the second phone, open the app. Typically, it will ask you to enter a phone number to set up the account. However, instead of entering a new phone number, you will need to tap on the three dots located at the top right corner of the screen. This will open a menu with two options: “Link a Device” and “Help.”
Choose the “Link a Device” option. When you select this, it will prompt you to scan a QR code. Now, take your first phone (the one that already has WhatsApp active), and open WhatsApp on that device. Tap on the three dots again in the top-right corner, and this time, you will see the option “Link to Device.” Tap on this option.
Your first phone will then display a QR code. Now, using your second phone, scan the QR code displayed on your primary device. Once the scan is complete, WhatsApp will automatically link the two devices, and your secondary phone will now show WhatsApp as active.
At this point, you can freely use WhatsApp on both phones. You’ll be able to view and download messages, pictures, videos, and other content shared within your chats. The chats on both devices will stay synchronized, so anything you do on one phone, such as sending a message or reading a new chat, will instantly update on the other device.
